Alamance County, NC -- Alamnce Live Scanner has stopped broadcasting on Windows Media Encoder, This method of broadcasting was great when we only had a hand full of listeners throughout the day.

Alamance Live Scanner has become pretty popular among Alamance County residents since the Burlington Police, and Fire have moved their radio transmissions to a Digital 800 MHZ Trunking System.

Alamance County Sheriff, EMS, and Fire will soon be moving a majority of their traffic over to a Digital 800 MHZ system also sometime in 2009.  They will be joining the State Viper System.
