Burlington, NC - On 09-07-2008 at approximately 0341 hrs. Burlington Police officers responded to a reported home invasion robbery at 240 Rolling Rd. Upon arrival, officers found the victims Darry Leon Clay, B/M/51 and James McKinley Jenkins, B/M/15, both of the residence. They reported while they were sleeping, 3 B/M suspects kicked in the front door of their residence and robbed them at gunpoint. During the robbery both victims sustained minor injuries after being struck with the gun by the suspects. Alamance Co. EMS was called to the scene and treated the victims for minor lacerations. After stealing several items of value, the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. Burlington Police Department communications then received an anonymous tip, which included a description of a possible suspect vehicle. A Be-On-The-Lookout was then broadcast to all officers, and as a result the suspect vehicle, a 1998 Dodge Durango, was located by Burlington officers in the 1200 block of Evans St. A high-risk stop was then initiated, and as a result three suspects were arrested and the victims’ stolen items were recovered from within the vehicle. Arrested at the scene were the following individuals: Suspect #1 Devin Tyrell Michael Knight, B/M/17 231 Bidney Dr., Burlington N.C Suspect #2 Servado Ruiz Flores, H/M/20 1308 N. Beaumont Ave., Burlington N.C. Suspect #3 Quenten Broodie-Devarr Lee, B/M/17 1214 Evans St., Burlington N.C. All three suspects were charged with 1st. Degree Burglary, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and AWDW. |
