Attempted Armed Robbery E Maple Ave Wilco Print

Burlington, NC -- On 08-24-2008 at approximately 2317 hours, officers responded to the Wilco, 1407 E. Maple Avenue in reference to a robbery. Officers learned that the night shift clerk, Mary Smith, was leaving the business when two males attempted to rob her at knifepoint, however they were unsuccessful. Ms. Smith was uninjured during the confrontation.

Suspect 1 is described as a black male, wearing a beige hood to conceal his identity.

Suspect 2 is described as a black male, wearing a red, white, and blue colored hood to conceal his identity.

The suspects fled the area on foot and were not located.
