Alamance County, NC -  One person is dead following a single vehicle accident on Highway 49 North Sunday night.  Highway 49 was completely shut down between  Highway 119 and Mt Zion Church Road.

 The 911 caller first thought that the driver of a pick-up truck fled the scene after hitting an unidentified male on a bicycle.
