Burlington, NC - On August 1^st, Burlington Police began an investigation into an alleged Rape that occurred on July 31, 2008. The victim is a 12-year-old juvenile, who reported that on the evening of July 31, 2008 he was forced to have sexual intercourse with an 18-year-old female. Based on the victim’s statements, a suspect was identified and subsequently interviewed by juvenile investigators. Information from that interview provided enough information to obtain warrants for 1^st Degree Statutory Rape.

Burlington Police charged Cassandra Lynn Cone, W/F/18, of 2105 Peace Lane, Burlington. She was charged on August 1, 2008 and is in the Alamance County Jail under a $40,000.00 bond.
