Burlington, NC - On August 3, 2008 at 0250 hrs officers of the Burlington Police Department responded to Beaumont Avenue in reference to an assault. Officers located an 18-year-old white female reporting she was assaulted and raped by an unknown black male in the wooded area of the 1100 block of Grace Avenue. The female was treated at ARMC for a laceration to her head and released. The suspect is described as a black male, 30-50 years of age, 5'06, 180-185 pounds, short black hair, and brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a light blue basketball style jersey with white lettering, and black shorts. The victim was able to complete a composite of the suspect.
