Alamance County, NC - A head on collision occurred on Highway 62 South of Burlington Friday evening sending 3 patients to Alamance Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Two other patients had to be air lifted to the hospital.

Tarheel 1 arrived at the landing zone which was set up at Alamance Battlefield to take a male patient who was suffering from multiple broken teeth, cuts on his forehead, and complaining of leg pain to UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center. Tarheel 1 arrived at UNC Chapel Hill with the patient at 18:50.

Baptist Air Care arrived on scene at 18:47 and took off at 18:56.  Patient had a broken femur.
