A Male subject was driving a moped/motor scooter around the intersection of Melfield Drive and Highway 119 when he was struck by a vehicle

On impact the male was thrown over top of the vehicle. He was suffering from obvious head trauma, chest trauma, and a possible femur fracture.

Carolina Air Care was dispatched to a landing zone set up at Alexander Wilson Elementary School to take this patient to UNC Chapel Hill.
