Burlington, NC – Friday morning traffic along interstate I-85/I-40 north bound at the Tucker Street Bridge was diverted due to a transfer truck and a flat bed truck crashing.

A fuel tank that was ripped from one of the trucks spilled approximately 75 gallons of diesel fuel into lanes of travel.   

Alamance County Fire Station 9 (EM Holt Fire department) responded to the scene with a tanker truck to provide a water source for Burlington Fire Department.

There were no major injuries reported. Traffic was redirected for several hours.
