Burlington Police DepartmentMedia Information SheetBurlington, NC - On Thursday, June 21, 2007, at 0526 hrs the Burlington Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the E-Z Stop convenience store located at 2753 Alamance Rd. Burlington NC. Employees described the suspect as a W/M, 5’8”, about 160 lbs, wearing a black cowboy hat, dark blue shirt, jeans and a black belt. The suspect also had some short growth facial hair and a mustache. The suspect produced a small dark color handgun, possibly a revolver. He then demanded money. The suspect then left on foot after obtaining an undetermined amount of currency.
A Burlington Police Department K-9 was utilized in an attempt to locate the suspect. The K-9 track ended at a nearby location where officers found fresh tire tracks in the grass. It is believed that the suspect may have been operating a white Ford Truck extended cab. There were no injuries during this robbery. And the investigation is continuing. |
