Alamance County, NC - Police, Fire, EMS, & Duke Life Flight 1 responded to a residence on Thompson Mill Road to treat a female who was suffering from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

 

Snow Camp Fire & Rescue set up the landing zone at the Sheriff Department Sub Station on Snow Camp Road.  

 

Police investigators were called to the scene on Thompson Mill Road to investigate this shooting.

 

The female patient passed away before Life Flight could transport her to Duke University Medical Center.
