Alamance County, NC - Swepsonville Fire Department was on the scene of a structure fire at Southwick Golf Course Friday Evening. There was no injuries reported.

 Eli Whitney Station 5 & 11, E.M. Holt Station 9, provided mutual aid. Alamance COunty Sheriff Deputies provided traffic duty. & Alamance County EMS.

North Graham Hopedale Traffic Accident Print

Alamance County, NC - Faucette Fire Department was on scene of a traffic accident involving a moped vs a car on North Graham-Hopedale Road. First units on scene request Life Flight to come take the patient to the hospital. The patient was bleeding heavily from the face, and unconscious.

Duke Life Fllight 1 arrived on scene at 16:14.

UPDATE - Club Kryptonite Shooting. Print

Burlington, NC - Just after 2 am Burlington Police was on scene at Club Kryptonite.when they heard shots fired . Officers on scene quickly secured the weapon and shooter. The victim was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time. Audio of Incident  Listen Now!

On 01/19/2008 at approximately 0202 hrs. Officers from the Burlington Police Department responded to a reported disturbance at the Kryptonite Nightclub, located at 2437 Corporation Parkway.  Upon arrival, officers were working with parties involved in the reported disturbance when at least one gunshot was heard from inside the nightclub.  It then became apparent that a shooting had occurred inside the club.  The victim, who had sustained a single gunshot wound to his left arm, was transported to Alamance Regional Hospital where he was admitted for treatment of his wound. 

The victim was identified as Julius Wiley, B/M/22 of 1522 Hughes Mill Rd., Burlington N.C.

Arrested at the scene was Vincent Atwater, B/M/22 of 331 W. Union St., Hillsborough, N.C.  He was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Possession of a firearm in a liquor establishment.  He is currently being held at the Alamance County Jail.

Drunk Driver Tries to Lose Police Print

Burlington, NC - Burlington Police chased a Silver Chrysler 300 early Saturday Morning. The officer noticed subject also reached for his waist band before speeding off. Speeds only reached 60 MPH at times. The pursuing officer did a great job communicating road conditions to his supervisor.

Alamance County Sheriffs Deputy deployed spike strips out on Highway 62 at Kirkpatrick Road. The driver of the Chrysler 300 did not run over the spike strips. Officers continued to chase the vehicle as it continued North on Highway 62. Audio of Incident Listen Now!
