Burlington Boarding House Fire Print

Burlington, NC – Burlington, Police, Burlington Fire, & Alamance County EMS responded to 341 Trade St. with a report of a structure fire. As units arrived on scene they noticed smoke coming from a few windows.  It appears the fire was confined to one apartment/room. A female occupant suffered 2nd degree burns on her face, neck, and arm.  

Firefighters worked quickly to contain, and clear the boarding house.

 Units on scene were Car 1, Engine 1, Squad 1 Truck 1, Engine 2, & Engine 3.

"Correction" Swepsonville Traffic Fatality Print

Swepsonville, NC - (5/30/2007) Police, Fire, and EMS were called to the scene of a traffic accident at 2141 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Rd beside of Kids Depot Daycare. The first units arrived to find one occupient of the vehicle pinned in, she passed away on scene from her injuries. Baptist Air Care arrived on scene to take another occupientof the vehicle, a 39 year-old female patient to the hospital. The female did not appear to have life threatening injuries, however because of the seriousness of the wreckage EMS and Rescue felt that the patient should be flown to a larger trauma center for evaluation. There was a third occupient, a male subject whom was not injured or transported to the hospital by EMS.

North Carolina Highway Patrol - D523 (Accident Investigation)

Baptist Air Care (Transported patient to Hospital)

Boywood Road Traffic Accident 5/24/2007 Print

Alamance County, NC – A 3 vehicle traffic accident on Boywood Road near Highway 87 south sends a 17 year old female to the hospital with head injuries and a broken femur.

 Swepsonville Fire & Rescue, Alamance County Rescue, Alamance County EMS, Alamance County Sheriff’s office, Life Flight, & The North Carolina Highway Patrol all were on scene of this traffic accident which occurred at around 8:00 am Thursday morning.

Whitnesses on scene report that there was an accident with minor injuries when another vehicle came down Boywood road and could not see the first accident, lost control, and crashed.

Alamance County EMS took a second patient to Alamance Regionl Medical Center. (No info on Patient Condition)

I-85/40 Tanker Crash Print

Burlington, NC - I-85/I-40 traffic was at a stand still early Monday morning as emergency crews worked to free the driver of a tanker truck. UNC Tarheel 1 was requested to take patient to The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Tarheel 1 landed on the interstate and preformed a hot load of the patient.  Patient status was reported as having a right tib-fib injury. It is believed that the gas pedal went through the patient’s tib-fib.
