(06:47 1/30/07) Burlington, NC – An over-turned vehicle at 3410 Maple Avenue. This was a single vehicle accident. With a Male driver who has minor injuries. E.M. Holt Fire & Rescue was dispatched to handle this accident that was first reported as a head on collision.  Duke Life Flight and Carolina Air Care were both placed on stand-by until units on scene could confirm patient condition. Units on scene worked quickly to determine if Life Flight was going to be needed. Both Helicopters were cancelled. The patient refused transport to Alamance Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Burlington, NC -  The Citgo Store on the corner of Tucker Street at Chapel Hill Road had the front window broke into Monday morning. A Times-News delivery driver reported the incident to police.

Shortly after police circulated the area, one office noticed a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop when the suspect fled. The chase only lasted a matter of minutes before he crashed his car. The suspect jumped out of the crashed vehicle and ran on foot towards Everett Street. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a Tan coat with long dread locks.  There were three other suspects in the crashed vehicle. They are believed to have shattered the glass out of the store and grabbed some Hip Hop clothing.

Snow Camp - Structure Fire reported on Pegg Neave Road in Snow Camp. As units approach the area they see flames shooting through the roof. This incident was reported approx 23:25 Saturday 1/20/07.

Eden, NC Police Chase/Shooting Print

Shortly before 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon police were chasing a car in Eden. The driver of the car stopped and then started to run from officers. As police chased, the man started shooting. Police fired back, hitting the man.

The man was taken to Morehead Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Baptist Hospital. So far, there's no word on his condition.
 

The officers involved in the shooting were automatically placed on paid suspension while the shooting is investigated.

Bicyclist involved in accident Print

Bicyclist involved in accident.

A traffic accident sent a Bicyclist to Alamance Regional Medical Center with wrist pain, a laceration to face, and a sore toe. This accident happened in front of Arbys on Huffman Mill Road around 6:30 PM Friday evening.
