Alamance County 911 center is going to be
starting a new Dispatching Protocol soon. It’s called (EMD) Emergency Medical
Dispatching. A fire engine or ambulance doesn't have to be the first unit on the
scene of a medial emergency--a dispatcher can be there within
milliseconds, by phone, providing medical information and pre-arrival
instructions via phone. That's the concept behind emergency medical
dispatching (EMD) |

Apartment Fire |

Village of Alamance - An apartment fire was reported around 12:45 am Tuesday morning. A caller reported smoke coming from an apartment. The first fireman on the scene reported flames showing. This fire was located at 4035 South NC 62 Apt B1 in the Village of Alamance. |

Airport Hanger Fire |

Burlington Airport, Hanger Fire, Lighting Strike started this Fire. Several Departments called in to help. The Burlington FD, Elon FD, EM Holt, and Guilford for foam. Other departments were also called in for tanker trucks. Other Alamance County Fire Departments were called in to fill in for the Burlington Fire Departments. |

Alamance County Sheriff Hemi Patrol Car |

The Alamance County Sheriff's Department rolled
out 2 new Dodge Charger RT traffic patrol cars today. Alamance County received
funds from The Governors Highway Safety
Program to pay for the two new cars and Deputies to man the cars. Sheriff
Terry Johnson says "Hopefully we won't only be able to curve traffic violators
but also some of the other criminal elements that choose Alamance County as their
residing place." |
