Graham, NC - Graham Police, Alamance County EMS and Alamance County Rescue responded to a report of a person shot in the head at 405 Climax Street in Graham. Suspects fled the scene, police noticed the vehicle and chased it for a short time. Three suspects jumped out of thier car and fled on foot. Immediate News Release ATTACKED Description: On Monday 09 July 2007 at 2236 hours five (5) unknown B/Ms attacked Mr.. William Henry Bowe, B/M/56, of 607 Montgomery St., Burlington, NC as he walking home on Rosenwald St. near Shepard St. The victim, Mr. Bowe, indicated the suspects drove up in an older model Nissan, white in color with chrome rims, pulled to the side of the roadway on Shepard St. near Shaw Street, exited their car and approached him. The victim, Mr. Bowe, indicated five (5) young black males, late teens or early twenties, wearing black T-shirts, began to beat and kick him with their hands and fists. The suspects grabbed his wristwatch, a Cortez wristwatch, silver in color, pulling it from his arm. The suspects then fled back to the described vehicle fleeing the scene on Gunn Street traveling East toward Richmond Avenue. Mr. Bowe suffered injuries to his head, a cut over his right eye, cut to his left cheek, both eyes showing signs of swelling and bruises about his face. Mr. Bowe, at the time of the report, did not wish to seek medical attention. The suspects again described as late teens, early twenties, wearing black T-shirts and occupying an older model white Nissan with chrome rims. At this time the investigation is continuing. Kerns Phone: 229-3540 Description: FOLLOW-UP MEDA RELEASE ON 7-02-2007 OFFICERS WITH THE BURLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT IDENTIFIED THE SUSPECT IN THIS CASE AS MARCO ANTONIO MARTINEZ-ORDONEZ, HISPANIC MALE, D.O.B 10/08/1973 OF 318 RUFFIN STREET BURLINGTON, NC. MARTINEZ-ORDONEZ WAS ARRESTED IN DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA, AT APPROXIMATELY 2300 HOURS. MARTINEZ-ORDONEZ HAS BEEN PLACED IN THE ALAMANCE COUNTY JAIL IN LIEU OF A $25,000 BOND. MARTINEZ-ORDONEZ WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON INFLICTING SERIOUS INJURY. DURHAM POLICE DEPARTMENT ASSISTED IN THIS INVESTIGATION. DESCRIPTION: On July 2, 2007 at approximately 1449 hours, Maxmiliano Rapalo Zelaya of 318 Ruffin St., Burlington reported that a Hispanic male shot him while at his residence. Mr. Zelaya, who is 21 years of age, was shot once in the leg with an unknown caliber weapon. He was transported to Alamance Regional Medical Center where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Mr. Zelaya described his assailant as a Hispanic male, who is in his early 30’s. The suspect left the area prior to police arrival. The investigation is continuing. |
