Burlington, NC - Police are investigating an home invasion that took place on Richmond Avenue earily Monday Morning. The home owner told police that 2 black males dressed in Army Fatigues broke into their home, bound them with duct tape, hit them with a weapon, searched the home for anything valuable, then left the scene. The two residence were both taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center. Police Press Release On 06-04-07, at approximately 0209 hrs. Officers from the Burlington Police Department responded to a reported home invasion robbery at 407 Richmond Ave. Upon arrival, Officers met with the residents of the home, who reported they were awakened by two armed suspects whom forced open the front door of their home, and robbed them at gunpoint. Albert Mims, Jr., B/M/60, and Brenda Haith Mims, B/F/55 were bound with duct tape while the suspects ransacked the house. Both of the victims were also assaulted during the incident, and as a result they were both transported to Alamance Regional Hospital where they were treated and released for their injuries. The suspects were described as male, both wearing green military fatigues and black masks and gloves. They were last seen fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Grey Fox Trail Mobile Home Fire |

Graham, NC - E.M. Holt Fire Department (Station 9) responded to a report of a structure fire at 852 Grey Fox Trail around 2:50 am. Caller reports they heard and seen an explosion from the mobile home. They also stated that there was a K-9 chained to the back steps. As units were enroute they see smoke showing from Rogers Road. Units arrived on scene to find a single wide mobile home fully engulfed. Station 9 responded back to this scene two more times for rekindles, once at around 6 pm on friday and once saturday moring
Station 11 (Eli Whitney) responded to the scene and set up a water point. Alamance County Sheriff's Department assisted with traffic control. They blocked all traffic from entering Grey Fox Trail. If you have more info on this fire please email it to us
