Winter Weather Preparedness Week November 30 –
December 6 2008
The National Weather Service in cooperation with the State
of North
Carolina will declare the week of November 30-December 6
as Winter
Weather Preparedness Week. The NWS will be sending out
daily statements
to re-educate residents on the dangers of winter weather.
The fact that
Central NC has now gone 4 years since the last significant
winter storm
means many individuals have likely forgotten how bad
winter storms can
be and will likely be unprepared for the next big
one. Please see the Emergency Management
Bulletin Board for additional information and for the daily statements.
